the production is moved into a renovated farm house in St. Lorenz /Mondsee - and a team of 5 takes up series production on 400 m2 . |
| 1972: |
Europe discovers Windsurfing and goes crazy about it! In the late seventies more than 50.000 pairs of windsurf boots are sold world wide by Camaro. The number of our staff increases continually and the market goes international. |
| 1978: |
10 years after its start the company moves to its present location - Wagnermühle 30 in St. Lorenz/Mondsee . The making of wet suits and accessories out of Neoprene sheets developed into an industrial manufacturing – the team has grown to 50 members. |
| The 80s: |
Camaro becomes the leading brand for water sport suits in Europe and starts to export world wide. The production in Mondsee is continuously expanded, new buildings are added and the CAMARO team counts a proud 100 members. |
| 1983: |
Erich Roiser buys KOMPERDELL and the production of alpine and telescopic ski-poles is started in Mondsee. |
| 1992: |
Our owner, Erich Roiser, discovers Golf and falls in love with it, the division GOLF is added to Komperdell |
| 1997: |
CAMARO presents it’s 1st SWIMWEAR collection. |
| 1999: |
Thomas Roiser, who grew up with wet suits and ski poles, becomes general manager of both companies after finishing his studies, and runs CAMARO/KOMPERDELL with his young and ambitious team. |
| 2002: |
CAMARO/KOMPERDELL adds 2 new buildings to the factory in Mondsee which extend production as well as warehousing capacities. |
| 2007: |
Today CAMARO produces more than 100.000 Neoprene wet suits, with a permanent stock of 25.000 suits. We are proud to have more than 3.000 regular customers in our companies. |
| 2008: |
New logistic centre in Burgau/Mondsee with almost 5000 m2 useable surface. |
